Sun Siyam Iru Fushi – Maldives is an absolute paradise that exceeded all of our expectations and they were already pretty high. From the moment we embarked on our seaplane journey from Male to the resort, we were captivated by the stunning views of the Maldivian islands beneath us.
The aerial perspective showcased an incredible beauty with the vibrant turquoise ocean contrasting against the pristine white sandbanks and lush greenery of the islands. A mesmerizing sight that sets the stage for an unforgettable experience.
Upon arrival at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi we were greeted off the sea plane by our wonderful butler Azzam who was amazing throughout our stay. Honestly, there was nothing too big or small, he simply made our holiday truly remarkable and anticipated our needs, booked our restaurants (or changed our dining time if we were running late without even raising an eyebrow, and we ran late a lot). He went above and beyond, his care was attentive but never intrusive.
Beach Pool Villa – simply WOW, the indoor and outdoor space was beautiful.
Day 4 Azzam moved us seamlessly to our Over Water Pool Villa for a new experience, again, WOW, very rustic and with uninterrupted views of the sea, direct access from our deck to some snorkelling off the reef. There were all sorts of sea life passing by daily including what seemed to be a resident turtle. Waking up each morning to the sound of the waves and the sight of the sun rising is a dream come true – really, what’s not to love.
The culinary offerings at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi were equally awe-inspiring. With seven restaurant dining options for dinner, we were on an all-inclusive package and embarked on a gastronomic journey that spanned a myriad of cuisines, each one delicious with some of the best service ever.
During the day we enjoyed leisurely lunches at beachfront bars & pool, you never had to venture far to find a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you, with some truly fabulous cocktails should the mood take you. All drinks on the resort are branded and top shelf.
The resort welcomes all travellers, singles, couples and families alike – there’s a great family pool and an adult only pool so they really do cater for everyone.
The resort provided fun entertainment, a great DJ and memorable experiences. The mangers cocktail reception allowed us to mingle with other travellers while sipping on delicious beverages, creating connections and lasting memories. There’s a weekly ‘white’ party on the beach too so bring something along for this.
Throughout our stay, the exceptional service provided by the staff added an extra layer of luxury to our experience.
The resort provides access to an array of water sports, including snorkelling, diving, and kayaking, allowing us to explore the vibrant underwater world and discover the rich marine life that thrives in these pristine waters. They also supply a mask & snorkel that you can collect on day 1 & keep for the duration of your stay.
We went on the Dolphin trip and yes, we saw lots of Dolphins, what a lovely experience – we also, did reef fishing where if you like, the chefs will cook your catch for your dinner (or like us you can give it to the people who manage the trip for their dinner).
From the stunning aerial views during the seaplane journey to the array of activities time spent here was enchanting.
The luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining options, rejuvenating spa treatments, made for an unforgettable stay.
We are so grateful for the incredible staff, particularly Asiri & Suwendri at Flavours, Heru & Naresh at Bamboo, the lovely Eranda (we miss you) at Reflections, Sripathi at the Water-side bar and of course our very exceptional butler, Azzam. There should be a lot more names here as all were worthy of mention, but my picture taking of name badges was very poor, sorry, I blame the lovely cocktails for this. Thanks to you all for making our holiday truly exceptional.
If you are thinking of a Maldives holiday, in my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with this lovely resort.
